This Philadelphia/Brooklyn rock-leaning pop-punk quartet fronted by Allison Crutchfield, sister of Katie from Waxahatchee, released this "What A Dump" EP in 2011, which was was re-issued on LP by Salinas in 2014. The band followed the EP with a self-titled full-length in 2012 on Salinas and "Surfing Strange" in 2013 on Wichita. Art Fin
A pop-punk album full of both angst and maturity. A lot of this album is about growing up, but I've been consistently coming back to this album for over 5 years and it never gets old. evan_burman
The riotous new LP from Joey Sweeney is full of jagged-edged, bristling Americana. 50% of the vinyl proceeds benefit Rock to the Future. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 23, 2018
Spacious, psych-tinged indie rock from Philly; painting in blurry watercolors (but not without percussive headiness). Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 16, 2016
I am pretty sure I love this album because of lines like this:
"Time cast a spell on you and you will forget me
I know I could have loved you, but you would not let me
I will follow you down ’til the sound of my voice still haunts you
You’ll never get away from the sound of the woman that loved you" . Somehow they hit really hard, even though the instrumentation is coercing you to sway back and forth in a positive form. quiet_calm_deceased
